Hummingbird prepares to sail to Iceland

A provisioning shop this morning completed by water taxi for our remote Island start was an adventurous start to the day for the skipper and mate. Just as things were all stowed away (1.5 hours later, there was a lot of food) the first crew started to arrive. A welcoming lunch followed by domestic briefs and a welcome chat overviewing our trip filled our afternoon before a crew dinner in the snug saloon of course followed by chocolate cake. It may have been wet and windy outside all day but settling into life onboard has been pleasantly warm thanks to our central heating and has certainly helped matters to the 3 crew sadly without bags. Good news is all bags are in the country and they just need to make similar journeys as our victuals to make it to the boat.
