Cayo Blanco

Those early on deck this morning where lucky enough to enjoy the sunrise…meaning it was an anchorage good for sunset AND sunrise…wow! And both so so clear!

After breakfast the shore parties set off for snorkelling and exploring only for word to come over the radio that they had found the bar and it opened at 11am.

Once I had coaxed the crew back onboard we set off on a gentle motor into the wind and deeper into the large sheltered inner sea and another remote and secluded island.

Shirley navigated us expertly through the poorly marked channels and upon arrival we found a lovely deep deep water anchorage and small shingle and sand beach.

While we cruised up the final miles we had a lesson on TRS’s followed by a lesson in cake making for those in galley. We cover all aspects on Rubicon voyages.0

Some swam ashore and some went by dinghy as we gathered on the western beach and watched the sun disappear once again, this time with the famous green flash. Sun down and back to the boat it was for dinner by Michelle followed by that awaiting cake.
